The temple of the Reason , created under the French revolution in 1793, was the temple of a new supposed religion to replace the Christianisme: the worship of the To be supreme.

The religion centered on the worship of the Reason was to gather all the people under the currency of freedom and of the equality in order to return to the basic principles of the Roman République, which meant the end of all explicitly the Monarchie S. the principal instigator of the worship of the Reason was Robespierre. • the Cathédrale Notre-Dame of Rheims,
• the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-and-Saint-Paul de Troyes,
• the church Notre Dame of Versailles,
• the Saint-Pierre church of Caen,
• and much of churches of province.

The churches were often used as Entrepôt S.

The Concordat will restore in 1802 the catholic Culte in the church S.
