The Temple of the Canadian medical fame is a way of permanently paying homage to the Canadians and Canadian the of yesterday and today which contributed to a greater comprehension of the diseases and to the universal promotion of health.

The Temple of the Canadian medical fame was set up to greet, celebrate and promote excellence by choosing eminent scientists of medicine in all Canada in order to underline their contribution. The selection criteria of the prizes winner can be founded on only one exceptional contribution or an extraordinary career, result of a whole life. The prices are decreed in one or more following categories:

  • Medical research applied - Application of the medical scientific discoveries in the fields of promotion of the health and the prevention of the diseases, thanks to technological innovations and with systems of implementation.

  • Basic research - biomedical, biological or different Science contributing to a better comprehension of the diseases and progress in the field of health.

  • Builder in medicine - Leader, that it is a person or a group of colleagues, having allowed the setting-up of an establishment or design of a program or a university discipline whose medical science in Canada withdrew from great long-term advantages.

  • clinical Medicine - Practical of medicine or Clinical research in various disciplines, of which the family Medicine, the Internal medicine, the general Surgery, under-specialities of medicine and the surgery, the Public health, the epidemiology and the medicine of laboratory.
