The temple of Dendour is a Nubian temple built for the Roman period, towards 15 av. J. - C. It is dedicated to the goddess Isis and to the gods Harpocrate and Osiris. Ordered by the Roman Emperor Auguste, he was moved in a room of the Metropolitan Museum off Art of New York in 1978. Built in sandstone, the temple measures 25  Meter S since the door until the bottom and eight meters height. Its walls are decorated with Bas-relief S on which traces of color are preserved.

Into 577, the temple was converted into Christian church.
