Telpher carrier Panoramic Mont Blanc
The Telpher carrier Panoramic Mont Blanc , in the past called telpher carrier of the White Valley , located in the Massive of Mont Blanc, is a genuine Téléphérique (with the railway direction of the term: fixed carrying cable and tractor cable) allowing to carry out an air course of 5 093 m, in about 30 to 35 minutes, above the Glacier of the Giant, since the Needle of the South, located in France, with 3 778 m, until the Point Helbronner, with 3 466 m, located in Italy.
At the time of the course, the telpher carrier flies over the Sérac S and the Crevasse S of this Glacier of high mountain. Five stops of a few minutes, along the course, corresponding to the passage of the trains of cabins in the stations, make it possible to benefit from single points of view.
This pulsated cable car (comprising a carrying cable and tractor) passes, after a span of 1 700 m, in a building-pylon (where the line is deviated of 7 with 9° towards the line) then crosses the glacier of the Giant (span of 2 831 m) before crossing the collar of the Torches (suspended pylon with three transverse cables) for finally arriving 400 m further with the Helbronner Point.
