Telecinco is a Television channel private commercial general practitioner Spanish.

History of the chain

In August 1989, the Socialist government of Felipe González lance the liberalization of Spanish television, hitherto state monopoly. It created three new licenses of emission granted to Antena 3, Canal+ Spain and Tele 5 .

Into 1997 the chain changes image completely, passing from the mark Tele 5 with current the Telecinco . The new logo of the chain gives up the identity common to the chains of Silvio Berlusconi in Europe (large five and flower of the group Mediaset used by Canale 5 in Italy, Telefunf in Germany and Five in France).

Following the launching of the Digital terrestrial television (TDT) in Spain on November 30th 2005, each chain analogical was seen allotting two new channels in addition to his. Telecinco thus launched two new chains: Telecinco Estrellas which diffuses series of Telecinco ( Médico de Familia , Al to dirty of Class , Hermanas , Los Serrano …) and of films, and Telecinco Sport which retransmet Eurosport News.
