Teispès was the son and the successor of Achéménès to the head of the Perse (-675 with -640). Towards -674/70, it must be subjected to Phraortès, king of the Mèdes. With its death, the Persian kingdom is divided between its two sons Cyrus I {{er}}, king of Parsumah and Anshan, and Ariaramnès, king of Parsa.
