the Teeth of the Tiger is a novel of Maurice Leblanc putting in scene the adventures of Arsène Lupin, gentleman-burglar.
Appeared for the first time in 1920 in the Newspaper, but written during the First World War in 1918, it reports the combat coming up of Arsene Lupin, as Don Shine Perenna, against an underhand enemy and manipulator, acting only by procuration into captivating its victims in order to allot a heritage of 100 million.
Chronologically, this history makes following 813 where Lupin disappeared right before the First World War in anonymity from the Foreign legion after two suicide attempts. Whereas everyone believes Arsène Lupin died, it thus reappears after the war, under the features of Gift Shine Perenna.
The novel appears in bookstore in June 1921 in two volumes: Don Shine Perenna and the Secrecy of Florence . These works were gathered then in only one: Teeth of the Tiger . To note that in the first version, Lupin took its retirement at the end of this adventure.
the Teeth of the Tiger belong to this vein of works where Lupin is not an infallible Master being played of his enemies but a man with his weaknesses. That only makes its strength of character more impressive and brings us closer still more of the character.
It is it should be noted that the Teeth of the Tiger is also the title of a novel of Tom Clancy, and of another of Henri Vernes, the Father of Bob Morane.
