Teeth of Saber

Sabretooth ( Victor Creed ) is a character resulting from the Univers Marvel. It is a recurring enemy of the X-Man Wolverine.

It is a Psychopathe assoiffé of blood which has with its credit of tens, even of the hundreds of Meurtre S. The latter were made either to achieve contracts as a Mercenaire, or simply to appease its animal hunger.

Although the origins of its enmity with Wolverine remain nebulas, we know that both were victims of the project Arme X initiated during the Cold war. Sabretooth saw in Wolverine a competitor and did everything to make its life a hell. Sabretooth appeared in many animated adaptations of the series like in different Video games.

Biography

Sabretooth uses as patronym Victor Creed, although it is impossible for us to know if that is its true name. Indeed, its memory was disturbed many recoveries during the development of the Weapon X which it is impossible to in one way or another accredit what it remembers its past. The only memory still present in him is that of its childhood, when it was martyrisé by an abusive father who locked up it in the cellar. Once again, it is impossible to know if this memory is real, because it could have been established at the time of the project Arme X. Wolverine will say to have eliminated Sabretooth, but its appearance in X-Men: The 198 Files , us clearly makes suppose that it was far from being its last appearance.

In X-Men #188 , Sabretooth was seen in Nogales, Mexico, fleeing a group of superhumains being made call The Children. The reasons for which it was made continue remain still unknown. However, two members of this group were identified. A man called Sangre, and a woman with the white skin called Serafina. Sangre activated a generator which destroyed a good part of the city and killed all the inhabitants, except a little girl that Serafina protected from the explosion in order to keep it like witness. Sabretooth meets two later other Children, a fair girl, Aguja, and a boy with the ignited head, Fuego. They attacked Sabretooth and managed to neutralize its capacity healer. Sabretooth however succeeds in escaping and found refuge at the Xavier Institute.

Unfortunately, the destruction of the city was charged to X-Men.

Sabretooth at X-Men

In X-Men (v2) #188, Sabretooth joined X-Men. However, Mike Carey clearly showed that it did not hope to make of Sabretooth a repented character: “I will not show a heroic side of Sabretooth; I to either will not invent a past him so that his gestures are excused to him. All that it has fact is unforgivable, and it cannot be repented. I will not make a hero of them; I make a member of the team of it, and there will be certain reasons with that in the first history. And there are other reasons which make that it will not be simple to draw aside it. The intrigue around its introduction into the team will be revealed progressively my first year. ”

After having helped X-men to overcome the Children off the Vault , Creed is more or less constrained to remain prisoner on board the Conquistador, the enemy base. He helped X-Men once again, to overcome Pan, a scientist. In the combat, Malicia was infected by a virus. The group left to urgently deposit it on Providence, which was attacked very soon by an intelligent weapon rear Shi'. In the storm, Creed gave up X-Men and disappeared.

Origins of Sabretooth

Does Sabretooth have family ties with Wolverine?

Chris Claremont wanted to make of Sabretooth the father of Wolverine, but of the returns of continuity makes by its successors changed this original idea. With are the question “Which the relations which you had wanted to create between Sabretooth and Wolverine? ” Claremont answers:

“Father and Wire. This is why Sabretooth always regarded Logan as a “double failure”. In the mini-series Origin we learn the existence from Dog Logan, the probable half-brother of Wolverine. This character, while growing, has an appearance close to that of Sabretooth, but it however has scars on the face that Sabretooth does not have. Certain theories indicate that its capacity healer generated a secondary muattion, making disappear these scars. Paul Jenkins affirmed in an interview which Dog Logan was not Sabretooth but that it left the open door for the future scenario writers. (,)

Is Sabretooth a clone?
