Teenager FM

Ado FM is a station of radio Parisian emitting on Paris and the Ile-de-France on 97,8 MHz.

History

It is created by Isabelle Da (of her true name Isabelle Ciron) in 1981 like an associative radio. In the beginning, it was a question of proposing a radio for teenagers, made by teenagers. Grass organizers thus proposed during about fifteen years of the original cultural emissions: varied musics (Rock'n'roll, Hardware, Indus, Song…), theater workshop (with the organizer " historique" Fabrice Blind), literature, policy (" Vis-a-vis the jeunes" with Edouard Marquis), free antenna… But this station so characteristic of the epopee of the free radios will not survive its creative, nor especially with the appetites growing of the commercial investors of the middle of the Nineties. It is repurchased in 1996 by the Concept group Radio operator subsidiary company of the group Start (owner of Vibration) which transforms it into commercial musical station of format Hip-Hop and R&B.

It is the first radio today independent of Paris and its suburbs, daily listened by more 500.000 listeners and exceeds several domestic networks goes down for hearing some on the capital.

Concept

Teenager FM generates values of gathering around the urban musics (Hip-Hop, Soul, Rap, Ragga, R&B, Old School) and succeeded in with good being integrated and to create a dynamics on the Ile-de-France. Its musical choice is judicious, but she was often shown by Skyrock to have copied her format. Often advances some on its competitors, Ado discovers new talents and very regularly adds innovations to his playlist thanks to emissions such as the " Signal US". This format of radio is also exploited in Lyon with the station " Sun FM " and in Bordeaux with " Black Box "
