Teddy Ted
Teddy Ted is a series of Cartoon created in 1963 by Jacques Kamb and drawn by Yves Roy (pseudonym of Francisco Hidalgo). At the end of three episodes, they yielded the place to Roger Lecureux with the scenario and Gerald Forton with the drawing which made the reputation of it.
The name of the character had been chosen by Jacques Kamb while taking as a starting point the Allitération formed by the name of Lucky Luke.
The series is appeared during thirteen years, initially in episodes starting from the n° 934 of Vaillant of April 7th, 1963, then in complete accounts in Pif Gadget until the n° 312 (n° 1550) of April 18th, 1975.
Teddy Ted was a realistic western of very traditional invoice. This solitary cow-boy, responsible for the ranch of triangle 9, located close to the imaginary city of Tombstone, faced gangsters and Indians accompanied by his Stormy horse, the sheriff Old Peccos, the alcoholic doctor Doc. Holways, Granny Bazaar and Apache his mysterious and silent companion.
The series disappears at the end of a hundred and twenty - second episode victim from the western to the Italian mode ( Mysteries of the West ).
A small size is appeared under this title in the editor Jeunesse and Vacances which have six issues of February in December 1977 with the format 20x27 cm. It published, of course, the adventures of Teddy Ted (Roger Lecureux & Gerald Forton), but also Rigolus and Tristus (Jean Cézard) and Nasdine Hodja (Roger Lecureux & Bob Leguen).
