Tectiforme
Within the framework of the study of the paleolithic parietal art, the term “ tectiforme ” indicates a sign pointing out the shape of a roof.
These enigmatic signs, more or less geometrical and complex, were initially interpreted like figurations of huts or traps. According to A. Leroi-Gourhan, they would be female symbols.
Tectiformes are present in free-Cantabric art, in particular with Altamira, Bernifal, Make-with-Gaume, Mouthe, etc
