Technovision
Technovision is a French company which was specialized at the origin in the manufacture of anamorphic optics for the cinema before directing itself towards the hiring of material of turning.
Created in the years 1950 by Henryk Chroscicki (1919-2000), Technovision equipped in Caméra S and objective the teams with realization with 3.500 feature-length films, including 1.000 films which were made with the known process anamorphic under the name of “Technovision”. This process, different from the Cinemascope and the American Panavision, was in particular used for the film turning like Apocalypse Now of Francis Ford Coppola, Dune of David Lynch, Delicatessen of Caro and Jeunet, Two hours minus the quarter before Jesus-Christ , of Jean Yanne or Nikita of Luc Besson.
In 2004, Technovision then directed by the girl of its founder, Natasza Chroscicki, was repurchased by Panavision.
