Its American producer, OJ Bogaert, also known under the pseudonym of Thomas de Quincy, began his productions in an attic from a house of the suburbs of Brussels.
This group was made known by the tube Pump up the jam , which met a planetary success (3,5 million individual sold). On scene and in the clip, the song was sung in playback by Felly, a mannequin. It is only starting from their second title, Get up (before the night is over) , that the true singer, Ya Kid K (of its true name Manuela Kamosi) made known herself. The group then connected some hits, of which happy This is Technotronic , Megamix , happy Rockin' over the , Move that body , Turn it up , with different line-up (Reggie, MC Eric, Merlin, Melissa&Einstein…).
Technotronic also left an album remixes of its titles, carried out by prestigious DJ, like Shep Pettibone The Unity Mixers aka Patrick Samoy and Luc Rigaux, David Morales or Todd Terry, to quote only them.
In 1999, Technotronic carries out a return with Monday Midnight and returns ahead of of the scene with " Like This" , follow-up of " The G-Train" in 2000 and " The Mariachi" in 2001.
Global Deejays is linked in 2006 with the group in order to make revive the tube Get Up, remixé on the occasion and by carrying out even a new video clip, taking again some images of the precedent. This song is a great success during the year 2007.
