Technologies developed by Disney

The Disney company through its many subsidiary companies developed several technologies.

Technology of animation

• the Camera multiplane

• the system Animation Photo Transfer or APT , a process of transfer by Photography of the Cellulo S developed inter alia by David Spencer, member of the department of the planetary cameras of the Disney studios. The first film having benefitted from this system is Taram and the magic Cauldron (1985). Spencer accepted in 1986 a Academy Award for its work. The system however was made obsolete by the development data processing.
