Technical center of the mechanical engineering industries

The Technical center of the mechanical engineering industries ( CETIM ), is a industrial Technical center French created in 1965 at the request of the industrialists of mechanics pursuant to the provisions of the law of July 22nd, 1948 (begun again and transposed in the L.342.1 articles in L.342.13 of the code of research in 2005).

It received for general mission to promote the progress of the techniques, to take part in the improvement of the output and the guarantee of quality. Forty years later, this mission preserves all its topicality. Mechanics remains in the middle of the industrial world, participant in a way essential with economic development of our country.

With nearly 700 people, 400 engineers, CETIM is the first of the French industrial technical centres. It intervenes as well in the national and regional context as from the European and international point of view for promotion for the France site.

It is placed under the double supervision of the Federation of the mechanical engineering industries and the ministry for Industry.
