The technical Union of electricity (UTE) is the French organization of electrotechnical standardization.

Goals of the UTE

Created in 1907, the UTE, originally called " The Federation of European and International Public Service Unions of electricity (USES) " , is resulting from the will of the " trade union of industries électriques" and of the " trade union of the factories of électricité" to create a federation in order to jointly study the relative questions with the development of industries which they represent.

The UTE is a Association law of 1901 with nonlucrative goal. This association is made up members representing the unit of the professionals of electricity, the consumers and the public authorities.
