Technical National school of the warrant officers of active

The Technical National school of the Warrant officers of Active ( ENTSOA ) had the role to form the futures Sous-officiers of the Army French on the plans Militaire and technique.

Formation

The young recruits, selected by way of contest, followed throughout their schooling a military formation all weapons and were directed, as of their entry, in a technical die (electronic, electrotechnical or mechanical). At the conclusion of the course of formation, according to their classification the pupils chose the weapon in which they wished to be useful. Subject to success with the last examinations they were named with the first rank of Sous-officier (Sergent or Marshal-of-home) then were directly affected in body of troop, or via a passage in school of specialization where they passed a second CT1.

Soldier

The military formation consisted with the training of the reflex actions and elementary of the level team leader. At the end of the schooling, the pupils obtained the Military Certificate of 1st degree (CM1).

Technique

Ensured at the same time by military personnel of the School and personnel civil concerned with the State education, the technical training took on a double goal: on the one hand, obtaining a professional diploma (CAPE, BEP or Baccalaureat) and, on the other hand, obtaining the Technical Certificate of 1st degree (CT1).

History

  • the School of the Apprentices Technicians of the Army (EATAT) opens on October 1st, 1963, in the enclosure of the district of Bange with Issoire, with for main objective providing to the Army executives having a double competence of warrant officer and technician. The decree n° 66.284 dated April 28th, 1966 fixes the principles of operation of the School.
  • Name change in 1964, where it becomes the School of Technical education of the Army (EETAT)
  • on February 26th, 1965, Mr Pierre Messmer, Minister for the Armies gives the flag of the School to colonel de Buzonnière.
  • In 1977, it takes the Technical name of National school of Under Officiers of Active.
  • In 1986, the ENTSOA accommodates its first female pupils.
  • June 1998, after 35 years of existence, the ENTSOA closes its doors definitively. The district is then occupied by the 28th Regiment of Transmissions
