Tchérépovets (Russian Череповец , Čerepovec ) is a city of the north of the Russia, located on the Volga, on banks of the Réservoir of Rybinsk. It belongs to the Oblast de Vologda and is to 500 km of Moscow. The city which shelters: 319000 inhabitants (2006) is tallest of the oblast. It is not far from the outlet of the Onaga-Volga channel.

Tchérépovets is an important industrial center of Russia of the North-West, with one of the largest iron and steel plants of Russia: SeverStal .
