Tayseer Allouni

Tayseer Allouni born the March 20th 1955 is a Journaliste chain Qatar I Al-Jazira. It is the first journalist to make an interview with Usama Bin Laden after the attacks of the September 11th.

He initially was journalist at the agency of Spanish press national (EFE) then chain Al-Jazira. In 1999, it is indicated corresponding chain to Kabul. It covered the war against the Afghanistan and the Iraq. At the time of the war against Afghanistan, its office with Kabul was bombarded by the US Air Force. Then during the war against Iraq, its office of Baghdad was in its bombarded turn, killing the journalist Jordan N Tarek Ayyoub. Tayseer Alouni then went to take refuge in the office of Abou Dhabi TV, which was him also bombarded. Tayseer Alouni which with the Spanish dual nationality and Syria did not join the Palestine hotel then where find his/her Spanish colleagues. The hotel was then in its bombarded turn killing a Spanish cameraman.

Alouni was stopped in Spain the September 8th 2003 on information provided to the government of José-Maria Aznar by the the CIA which showed it to be militant of Al-Qaida. Rising against this imprisonment, Aidan White, general secretary of the International federation of the journalists, had declared at once: “During last years, an irritation of the Westerners, particularly of the States-uniens, was expressed against the Arab media, and particularly to Al-Jazira. Its offices were attacked militarily initially in Afghanistan, then twice in Iraq. With this arrest, that starts to resemble the development of an international hunting for the witches”.

Thursday September 18th 2003, the Spanish judge Baltasar Garzón accused Tayseer " of integration in terrorist organization Al-Qaïda" and maintained in detention. Thursday October 23rd 2003, after forty-five days of detention the judge of the national Audience Guillermo Ruiz Polanco grants to him a setting in release on bail within sight of its health condition. The September 26th 2005, Allouni is cleared to have belonged to Al-Qaida but it is accused to have collaborated with a terrorist network and it is comdamné at 7 years of prison firm. Allouni rejects any connection with the network. Several organizations call with its release beside the International federation of the journalists like the French observatory of the human rights and the Gandhi foundation.
