Taunton is a city of the county of Somerset, in England. The name comes from “City on the Tone river”, or “Tone Town” in English. There is a market hedomadaire.
Taunton is the principal city of the electoral college of the Parliament.
Geography
The city is halfway located Bristol and of
Torquay, with the foot of Blackdowns Hills which culminates with 315 meters. It is sprinkled by the Ton, tributary of Parrett which is thrown in the Canal of Bristol-board. It is to some extent a door towards the peninsula formed by the Devon and the
Cornouailles in the west.
