The source of " Klingenbrünnen" near Weikersholz being raised more, it is this one which is officiellemnt recognized since 1976.
Environment: flora
The broad average valley of Tauber shelters a flora a flora adapted to dry and shone upon conditions. One finds there on the one hand plants heathers to prick and on the other hand Mediterranean dry lawns. As the vine growing is not developed too much there, one can still meet these plants at various places in a sufficient number. The blood Géranium ( Geranium sanguineum ) is characteristic of the lawns of which it can cover large surfaces. The pulsatile Anemone ( Pulsatilla vulgaris ) and the Aristoloche clématite ( Aristolochia clematitis ) are frequent. The Hélianthème of the Apennines ( Helianthemum apenninum ) comes from the lower valley of the Hand. The Fraxinelle or Dictame ( Dictamnus albus ), rather rare, is localized with the edge of the forests. The Stipe with pennate sheets ( Stipa pennata ) is not very frequent either but one knows some stations just as the Orchis monkey ( Orchis simia ) which quasi disappeared. The warlike Orchis ( Orchis militaris ) is largely more frequent. The Orchis flaring ( Orchis ustulata ) is also very rare but reappeared in 2005.
In the high valley of Tauber, one could see the Lin of the Alps ( Linum leonii ). The Lin with narrow sheets ( Linum tenuifolium ) is on the other hand more current.
