The Tatras (in Polish and Slovak: Tatry ) is an assembly line to horse on the border between the Poland and the Slovakia. It is about the highest part of the chain of the Carpates.
The widest portion as well as more the high summits are located as Slovakia. They are found stylized on the national flag in the shape of three mounts. They are also the subject of the Slovak national anthem Nad Tatrou its blýska.
The culminating point is the Gerlachovský štít (: 2655 m) as Slovakia, and the Mount Rysy (: 2499 m) in Poland.
The area is famous for its winter sports resorts, such as for example as Slovakia Mesto Vysoké Tatry (French: “the city of High Tatras”) or Zakopane in Poland. Tatras are made up of:
The High Tatras, with more than one score of tops culminating with more: 2500 m above the sea level are the only mountains of the alpine type on: 1200 km length of the chain of Carpates. Shredded by erosion refrigerator, the tops are roughcast edges and needles of granite.
The National park of Tatras was created in 1949.
