Tarusates
The Tarusates were Aquitanian people quoted by Jules César and Pline Old the. One generally identifies it with the Aturenses (a denimination which is essential as from the 4th century). They lived the acuel Tursan in the department of the Landes and had as a principal city Atura (Surface-on-Adour).
Tarusates had as neighbors the Tarbelli in south-west, the Cocosates in the North-West, the Vasates in north, the Élusates in the east, the Bigerri in south-east and the Benearni in the south.
