The tart plate of the lake Midsummer's Day is a popular pie with the Quebec, particularly in the areas of Charlevoix, the Saguenay and the Lake-Saint-Jean, where it is named simply “tart plate”, and which is composed of various meats. The Tourtière of the Montreal board names rather simply “pie with the meat” in the areas of Charlevoix and Saguenay-Lake-Saint-Jean. The tart plate of the Lake-Saint-Jean is characterized some by his size, much larger and by its trimming made up of larger pieces of meat (often including game meat) and potatoes in cube.
