The Arunachal Pradesh is an Indian State the extreme North-East. It has an international border of 160 km with the Bhutan in the west, of 1080 km in north with the China and of 440 km in the east with the Burma. It extends from the snow-covered peaks of the Himalayas in north to the valley of the Brahmapoutra in the south. It reaches the statute of State, the February 20th 1987. It is the greatest State of the North-East, larger than the Assam which is populated however more. China does not recognize the sovereignty of India on this territory which she regards as part of the autonomous region of Tibet.
