Taram and the magic Cauldron
Taram and the magic Cauldron is the 32e feature film of animation and the 25e " Traditional " studios Disney. Left in 1985, it takes as a starting point the Chroniques of Prydain of Lloyd Chudley Alexander, appeared between 1964 and 1970.
Synopsis
Taram, a young farmhand, wishes to become warlike. Helped by the gift of clairvoyance which his/her faithful companion has, a piglet named Tirelire, it must prevent at all costs that a mysterious magic cauldron is found between the hands of malefic Seigneur of Darkness. In its search, it will meet a small hairy character, Gurki, as well as the charming princess Héloïse and the ménestrel Ritournel which will lend strong hand throughout its adventure to him.

Did you know?
- In spite of attaching characters, this feature film is darkest of the studios Disney. On the commercial plan, this one was a true failure at the time of its exit in 1985. At the point to even see itself disavowed by its originators. Disney gave even the impression to want to make some forget the existence.

In the field of the form, this cartoon also indicates compared to the other Disney productions. The atmosphere is often heavy and glaucous; certain scenes are alarming enough for a young public (that of the removal of Moneybox by two Ptérodactyle S, for example). Tim Burton was engaged by Disney as artist-originator for Taram and the magic Cauldron . He imagined a series of monsters for the cartoon, but those were not retained finally.
