Chars is a common French, located in the department of the Val-d'Oise and the area Île-de-France.

Tanks is in the perimeter of the Regional natural park of French Vexin.

Geography

Tanks is located at 18 km in the North-West of Pontoise and at 15 km in the North-East of Magny-in-Vexin.

Borough of the valley of the Viosne, in the French Vexin (left western the department of the Val-d'Oise), Chars is bordering on the Bellay-in-Vexin and Nucourt in the west, Bouconvillers and Lavilletertre in north, Neuilly-in-Vexin and Marines in the east and on Brignancourt and Moussy in the south.

The commune is served by the road D 915 (old RN 15) which connects Pontoise to Gisors. On the railway level, the station is on the line Paris-Saint-Lazare - Pontoise - Gisors-Junction which went formerly until Dieppe.
Tanks is located on the layout of the Sentier of great excursion GR. 11.
Tanks has a Vocational school: the vocational school of Vexin.
