Tank theBroad one
The Réservoir of Large-Broad the is an artificial lake along the Channel of Jonage.
The Canal of Jonage was built thanks to a dam with hillside.
Near Décines-Charpieu (department of the Rhone - 69), the dam deviates from the hill to create the Tank Large-Broad which creates a great water reserve for the hydro-electric factory of Cusset with Villeurbanne .
The channel of Jonage, brought into service in 1897, is the hydro-electric prototype of installation of the Rhone whose model will be taken again downstream from Lyon, by taking account of imperative triple: electrical production, navigation and regulation of the river.
