Tanezrouft
The Tanezrouft is a desert area, characterized by its reg. S, located at horse on the Algérie and the Mali, in the southernmost part of the the Sahara.
It extends on approximately 400 kilometers from North in the South.
It is a vast plain, an immense basin Synclinal E very slightly inclined and directed North-north-east in the South-south-west.
Tanezrouft is regarded as a absolute Désert because of its extrème aridity. It is an uninhabited area, completely deprived of vegetation.
History
This area was crossed to foot in 1936 by Theodore Monod.
