History

Tami is created little before the legislative elections of 1981, when the Minister for the Religious affairs and former mayor of Ramla, Aharon Abuhatzeira, deputy elected in 1974 and 1977, leaves the national Parti religious ( Mafdal ) which did not succeed in preventing the lifting of its parliamentary privilege to make it judge in an corruption affair. Abuhatzeira had affirmed that it was about a cabal against him because of its Moroccan origins. After declarebeing initially declared innocent, following the defection of a witness, Abuhatzeira was finally condemned to a three months sorrow for an corruption affair dating from the time when he was mayor of Ramla. In 2004, it has this time judged to have almost reduced in slavery a servant Moslem Morrocan woman who it had imported of Morocco and makes declare Jewish by Great rabbinate.

Conducting campaign on a platform of equality for all the citizens without consideration of religion, ethnic origin or nationality, Tami takes down three seats in 1981, Aharon Abuhatzeira, Aharon Uzan (president of the sépharade federation of Israel, former deputy and Minister for the Mapai and Ben-Zion Rubin (former member of the Mafdal). Menahem Begin invites this party to join the government coalition at the sides of the Likoud, the religious national Party, Agoudat Israel, Telem and thereafter of Tehiya. Abuhatzeira is named social Wellbeing and Minister for Labor and Minister for Absoption of the immigrants, but resigns of these two stations in May 1982, little before the invasion of Lebanon, yielding both porteuilles to its Uzan fellow candidate.

The party, which had caused the fall of the Begin government, obtains poor results with the legislative elections of 1984, losing many of its voters to the profit of a new party sépharade, the Shas. Seul Abuhatzeira is re-elected, and the party amalgamates with Likoud in the course of mandate, it does not exist since then.
