Tamaulipas

The Tamaulipas is a State located at the north of the Mexico, at the border with the the United States. It is surrounded by the Nuevo León, the Gulf of Mexico and San Luis Potosí. The capital is Ciudad Victoria.
The governor is Eugenio Hernández Flores (PRI) since 2005.
Of a surface of 78.932 km ², Tamaulipas counts 43 municipalities and is inhabited by 3.024.238 inhabitants (census of 2005).
