Tamarissière

The Tamarissière is a district of the common Frenchwoman of Agde, in the department of the Herault. She is one of the three Lieux-dits of this commune, with the Grau of Agde (left bank) and the Cape of Agde. This district in edge of sea is located on Right Bank of the Herault whereas most of the territory and of the population of Agde is on left bank.

The name of this Lieu-dit comes from the Tamaris that one planted there to fix the Sable which was on the bank of the river.

Located at the mouth of the Herault, Tamarissière becomes a tourist resort with installation in camp-site of the littoral Pinède.
