According to the " Picte" chronicle; it reigned jointly during 3 years with Drust mac Caustantin

According to A.P. SMYTH he was the nephew in female line of the kings Caustantin mac Uurgust and Unuist mac Fergus and an opponent with the throne of Drust mac Caustantin being based on the succession of the matrilénaire type of Pictes against that patrilénaire imposed by preceding kings de Fortriu of origin Scot.

He disappeared at the same time as Drust mac Caustantin and was replaced by Uuen mac Unuist.
