Tally of scene
The tallies of scene is a fixed construction separating the Avant-scène and the Scène. Its opening corresponds to the useful maximum width of the scene. Its Height is that between the floor of the scene and the place where the iron curtain (or curtain fire wall) is in high position.
Behind the framework of scene, fixed element, is the Manteau of harlequin, kind of framework mobile which defines width and height of the decorations.
Dimensions thus delimited give invaluable indications for the design of other technical elements of a Play, like the good visibility for the spectator, the establishment of lightings and various draperies.
