Talking Heads is an American group of Rock, more particularly of New Wave, having existed between 1974 and 1991 and having composed of David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison. They played in the New Yorkean clubs, like CBGB' S.

The group signs in 1977 its first album, Talking Heads '77 . On the following album, More Songs Butt Buildings And Food , Talking Heads joins to the producer Brian Eno. The album combines acoustic and electronic instruments. The albums Fear Music (1979) follow off and Remain In Light (1980) which abound in electronics, of pop and of African percussions. The members of the group then will privilege their personal projects.

They are of return in 1983 with Speaking in Tongues before starting their last round. In 1985, Talking Heads leaves an album more related to the pop one: Littles Creatures . They record thereafter True Stories in which appear of the songs of the film éponyme of David Byrne. In 1988, they enter in studio for their last album: Naked . Three years later, the group announces its separation.

In 1996, the formation meets but without David Byrne under the name of The Heads for the album No Talking Just Head .
