Talaudière
Talaudière is a common French, located in the department of the the Loire and the area the Rhone-Alps.
Geography
The commune is located in the valley of Onzon, with the foot of the Mounts of Jarez to approximately 6 km in the North-East of Saint-Etienne.
History
- In fact the coal mines of Chazotte are at the origin of its creation. Conceded by royal decree of July 13rd 1825, the mines ceased their activity on January 13rd 1968.
- Simple hamlet of Sorbs, quoted in the texts since 1378, Talaudière became Commune by the law of February 29th 1872 starting from hamlets of Sorbiers and Saint-Jean-Bonnefonds.
- September 2nd, 2007: enter the book of the records as a football team having marked the most goals in a prolongation (8, at the time of the 2nd tower of the Coupe de France of Football 2008 against Chalmazel, for a final score of 10-2)
Administration
Pierre Damon was mayor of 1977 to 1995 of the commune under the left label various.Pascal Garrido directs the town hall, under a left label various, since the end of the mandate Pierre Damon (which gave its name to the gymnasium of the college).

Places and monuments
The castle of the Sand pit, destroyed with the beginning of the year 1990, left the place to a splendid allotment named " the park of the château". Certain trees centenaries are classified, but since the storm of 1999 (during which imposing prêle of wood destroyed a house), the owners of the grounds are much less constrained than before as for the cut of these trees & town and country planning…
The house of the inheritance
Located in periphery of the municipal park, she proposes an interesting museum which treats inheritance and measurement.
The Arts center the Penny
In a few years under the aegis of a new team, the Arts center became a room of reference to the local plan and departmental. The cultural season comprises ten varied spectacles and of quality, it accommodates great names of the national scene and international which côtoient regional and local troops there. The Penny is also a cinema who functions each Friday and proposes large films with the poster.
