The taken of hostage of Sablé-sur-Sarthe in France took place Thursday March 9th 2006 with the college Charles Cros.

Old teaching college, 33 years old, made irruption in a study hall, armed with a firearm towards 14:30 and retained as an hostage, five hours lasting, 23 people including 20 pupils. The teacher suffered from problems of depression and was currently with the Chômage.

During the taking of hostages, the pupils could call their parents. The individual, who had promised not to wound any the children present, finally went to the gendarmes negotiators of GIGN without difficulty and the hostages all are healthy and safe.

An crisis cell was open in the college with psychological and doctors.
