Takiko Okuda is the heroin of the manga of Yuu Watase Fushigi Yuugi - the Legend of Genbu ( Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden ), the prolog of the series Fushigi Yuugi.

Takiko Okuda, girl of the writer Einosuke Okuda, is the first girl to enter the universe of the four Gods of the Sky and the Earth, becoming the " priestess of Genbu" (Genbu No miko). Its mission in the world of the book is to call upon Genbu God in order to save the country of Hokkan of the destruction using seven stars of Genbu: Uruki (Rimudo Roun), Tomite (Chamuka Tan), Hatsui (Zaraa Erutai), Namame, Hikitsu (Emutato Chen), Imani and Urumiya. For the moment we do not know yet the identity of Inami and Urumiya.

Takiko an young girl with strong, intelligent and sympathizing however it misses confidence in it cruelly: she doubts her capacities and will be somewhat hesitant with becoming the priestess of Genbu. Impotent vis-a-vis died his/her mother, feeling given up by a father that it does not include/understand (this one leaving the family hearth, whereas his wife was dying, to collect information for its writings), nourishing a prohibited love and with one way for a married man and father, Takiko feels useless and rejettée by the world which surrounds it but it is not let cut down and does not want to sink in the melancholy. It will take its news " thus; responsabilité" priestess very in heart because it feels finally useful. She handles the naginata very well (arms Japanese in form with lance) what enables him to defend itself. She hates her father as well as the lightning and the octopuses.
