Takayouki is the grandfather of Lin and was the Master of the Muten-Ichiryû before his/her son. He was also the school-fellow of Saburô Anotsu during his childhood. Although less good than Saburô, Takayouki inherited the school of his/her father because Saburô was only one son of commoner and thus considered to be unable to direct a school. Takayouki was very sad for his/her comrade while knowing very well that it would try to take his revenge later. To avoid a conflict between Asano and Anotsu, Takayouki required of Lin never not to dedicate hatred towards the descendants of Saburô, nevertheless Lin well quickly forgot the words of his/her grandfather.
