Its imperial highness Takahito, prince Mikasa of Japan (三笠宮崇仁 Mikasa-No-miya Takahito Shinno ), born the December 15th 1915, is the fourth and more young person wire of the emperor Taishō and the empress Teimei, which makes of it the youngest child of the emperor Shōwa and the princes Yasuhito Chichibu and Nobuhito Takamatsu.
Member of the Armed imperial Japanese woman at the time of the expansion with the Empire, prince Mikasa was promoted lieutenant of first class in 1937; captain in 1939; and major in 1941. It was assigned officer of the General headquarter of the Task force with Nanjing of January 1943 at January 1944. It was used then as officer within the Imperial General headquarter for Tokyo until August 1945.
It in particular evoked in its personal newspaper which it had knowledge of the experiments of the Unité 731 where prisoners were subjected to vivisections and tortures with an aim of medical research.
According to the written testimony of the Minister for the Wellbeing Hitoshi Ashida, Takahito would have required, at a held meeting of the private Council on February 27th, 1946, the abdication of Hirohito in the presence of this last.
