Tajrish

Tajrish is a district along the Northern end of Teheran, the capital of the Iran. This district is one of the oldest parts of Teheran and tardily became snuffed by the rich person because of his low level of pollution. Indeed, this part of the city is located along the mountains at north of Teheran. Tajrish is located in the district of Shemiran. In 2006, the district had 86.000 inhabitants.

History

Until 1970, Tajrish and its neighbor Shemiranat are small towns along the end of Teheran often used for the leisures by the inhabitants of the city. This sector was relatively disconnected from the heart of the fabric Urbain of Teheran but was easily accessible and becomes a popular place vacationing spot.

With the increase in the population and the need of more than space as from 1970, Tajrish finally gains a relatively dense population and will become better connected with the remainder of the city.

Today

Tajrish has an old man Bazaar and a Mausolée called Imam Zadeh Saleh, all two is popular tourist places.

The Tajrish place is one of the most active parts of Teheran, with terminals of shopping buses and taxi, center (including exclusive the Tandis Center) and much of restaurants. The roundabout of Tajrish is the beginning of the Avenue Vali-ye Asr, the longest way of Teheran.
