Taizhou (台州; Pinyin: Tāizhōu) is a city of the east of the province of the Zhejiang in China. One speaks the dialect there about Taizhou of the wu.

The city-prefecture of Taizhou exerts its jurisdiction on nine subdivisions - three districts, two city-counties and four counties :- the district of Jiaojiang - 椒江区 Jiāojiāng Qū ;

- the county of Sanmen - 三门县 Sānmén Xiàn ;
- the county of Tiantai - 天台县 Tiāntāi Xiàn ;
- the county of Xianju - 仙居县 Xiānjū Xiàn ;
- the county of Yuhuan - 玉环县 Yùhuán Xiàn .
