Taizhou (台州; Pinyin: Tāizhōu) is a city of the east of the province of the Zhejiang in China. One speaks the dialect there about Taizhou of the wu.

Economy

In 2005, total GDP was of 125,2 billion Yuan S, and the GDP per capita of: 22438 yuans.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Taizhou exerts its jurisdiction on nine subdivisions - three districts, two city-counties and four counties  :
  • the district of Jiaojiang - 椒江区 Jiāojiāng Qū   ;
  • the district of Huangyan - 黄岩区 Huángyán Qū   ;
  • the district of Luqiao - 路桥区 Lùqiáo Qū   ;
  • the town of Linhai - 临海市 Línhǎi Shì   ;
  • the town of Wenling - 温岭市 Wēnlǐng Shì   ;
  • the county of Sanmen - 三门县 Sānmén Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Tiantai - 天台县 Tiāntāi Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Xianju - 仙居县 Xiānjū Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Yuhuan - 玉环县 Yùhuán Xiàn .
