Taillecavat

Taillecavat is a common French, located in the department of the the Gironde and the area Aquitaine.

Geography

Taillecavat is located in the Gironde, one the tourist department and credit of France.

This village is located at one hour of car of Bordeaux and Agen. It is at two hours of Toulouse and 45 minutes of Bergerac.

One of the characteristics of Taillecavat is that it is almost encircled by villages belonging to the Lot-et-Garonne.

Life of the commune

  • little time ago, the panels veillissants of the commune were replaced by the new ones. Additional panels were added for the occasion as for example that which indicates space picnic or the center-borough of the village.

  • more recently, at the request of the inhabitants, the town hall bought panels indicating the localities and the hamlets of Taillecavat. Thus, on July 14th, the members of the council and some inhabitants met to pose them. These panels largely facilitate the indication of the isolated dwellings.

There remain today only vestiges of the imposing castle which was in Taillecavat. Only stables and part of the ditch remained S.A.

School

The school of Taillecavat works in collaboration with that of Race-of-Monségur. One exempts there courses of the CE1 with CM2 while the school of Race-of-Monségur deals of the nursery school and the CP.

Leisures

Taillecavat is equipped with a ground of game of bowls where the inhabitants find themselves to play and discuss. For a few years now, Taillecavat has been equipped with a big room of the festivals.

Wines

Many farmers live Taillecavat. The Castle the Fish ponds proposes for example paperboards and valisettes of bottles of red or rosy. The Virac Castle also proposes to him with the sale wine but also, recently, products bios. The produced wines are often classified in AOC Bordeaux Supérieur.

Plums

In addition to the cereal vine growing and cultures, certain farmers of Taillecavat also produce prunes.
