Tailhac

Tailhac is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Loire and the area Auvergne.

Located at a few kilometers of the town of Langeac, the commune of Tailhac constitutes a zone of transition between the throats Allier and the Mounts from Margeride. This position confers a great diversity of habitats and consequently a floristic and faunistic richness to him undeniable.

History

Several Dolmen important was discovered in Auvergne, in particular two considerable furnace bridges druidic, in glazing bar of pines belonging to the Talhac commune. The aforementioned dolmen were indexed by the Duranson archeologist. The borough and its church of XVième century registered with the inventory of the Historic buildings were formerly dominated by a castle of which it remains today only of rare vestiges. Lastly, on the bottom of the commune, the prints of the sapth-fluorine mines recall the industrial past of the basin of Langeac.
