the Litigants (1668) is a Comédie in 3 acts (respectively comprising 8,14 and 4 scenes) and in worms (884 Alexandrin S) of Jean Racine. It is the only comedy written by Racine. He took as a starting point the Guêpes of Aristophane but withdrew all the political scope from it. The part of Root, which follows Andromaque and precedes Britannicus , is an unexpected joke in its work. A judge leaves at his place by the window, of the dogs urinate on the scene, two young people in love are played of the father of the young girl, the whole in alexandrines.
The part was represented with the Hôtel of Burgundy in November 1668. Greater success of Root until the 19th century, the Litigants competed with the most popular comedies of Molière before sinking in a half-lapse of memory during the 20th century.
