Tahrir

The to tahrir is an ornament employed in the Iranian Musique. It consists of a very fast oscillation of a note (with the manner of a Trille) vibrating with other very brought closer notes (with less than one quarter tone).

Used as much in vocal music that instrumental, it is also characterized by the rice , trille at the variable rate/rhythm and control. This ornament can last one minute or a few seconds. It also can and especially to combine with inflections Dastgâh, so that the singer can assemble and descend the scale from the range while vibrating on all the notes, thus forming vast sound arabesques. It is an obligatory ornament of the Iranian traditional music, and it is the element fondemmental of the appreciation of a singer.
