Sport of demonstration in 1988 and 1992, the Taekwondo appears with the official program of the Olympic Games of summer of 2000 organized with Sydney (Australia). It is during the 104e session of the CIO which was held with Paris into 1994 that the taekwondo integrates the list of the Olympic sports. At the time of the Olympic Games of summer of 2008 organized with Beijing, eight tests will be disputed (four for the men and four for the women) for the third figuration of this sport to the OJ.
