Tadjidine Ben Said Massounde

Tadjidine Ben Said Massounde (1933 - February 29th 2004) was a politician of the Islamic Federal republic of the Comoros.

He was born in Domoni on Anjouan and made his secondary studies in Madagascar, before being allowed at the school of the services external of the French Treasury in Paris, from where he will leave with the title inspector the Treasury. He is the brother-in-law of Ahmed Abdallah

He exerted the functions of:

  • Minister for Finance and Trade under the mode of Ali Soilih
  • First manager with the Treasury, then directing of Finances under the presidency of Abdallah
  • Treasurer general payer in 1988 until 1990
  • Minister for Finance and Budget before being to name deputy with the presidency in charge of the financial questions under Said Mohamed Djohar
  • Prime Minister from March 27th, 1996 to December 27th, 1996 of Mohamed Taki Abdulkarim (this one being reassured by the lack of carism of Tadjidine)
  • President of the High council of the Republic, it becomes, in accordance with the constitution, chair by interim of the RFIC died of Taki in November 1998, although it is tempted to refuse the station. Once named, it however did not do anything to fix dates of election. It scandalized even by setting a remuneration which seemed disproportionneé considering the average revenues of the population.

It is reversed by the coup d'etat of the colonel Azali Assoumani in February 1999 because according to the soldiers it negotiated the independence of its brothers anjouanais

It was said frail, unobtrusive, posed and sometimes too careful.
