Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz
Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz (Wieliczka, 1852 - Cracow, the January 9th 1916) is a painter Polish, first cousin of Zygmunt Ajdukiewicz.
Of 1868 with 1873, it follows the courses of Władysław Luszczkiewicz to the school of the fine arts of Cracow. Then, it continues its formation in the academies of Vienna and Munich like to the workshop of Józef Brandt. Towards 1877, it accomplishes a voyage to Paris and the the Middle East. In 1882, it settles with Vienna where it works for the imperial court and the aristocracy. The following year, it goes to London where it carries out the portrait of the Prince de Galles. In 1884, with Constantinople, he is the guest of the Sultan Abdhulhamid II. Thereafter, he still works with Sofia, Saint-Pétersbourg and Bucharest. He settles at greater length in Romania where he becomes the painter of the court of the king Charles Ier in 1914. When the First World War bursts, it returns in its native land where, in spite of its great age, it engages in the Polish legions. He dies a little later not supporting the difficult living conditions of the war.
He specialized in the portraits ( Portrait of Helena Modrzejewska , 1880 - National museum of Cracow), in the fabric S representatives of the military parades ( Revue Rumanian army , 1896) and in the genre paintings ( Chevaux on the pasture , 1874).
