Tacita Dean

Tacita Dean , born in 1965 is a British contemporary artist.

Work

Since the beginning of the years 1990, Tacita Dean travels throughout the world in the search of images and rare sounds which form material of its works. Using various médiums like the Photography, the installation, the Drawing, the British artist privileges the cinema 16 Misters.

In its work, Tacita Dean is attracted by the history of characters out of the commun run and by the inscription of passed on the given up objects or spot, very as much as by the almost immaterial fugacity of natural phenomena as the solar eclipse or the green ray

Time, its cyclic character, the processes of disappearance and appearance, constitutes the central themes of its work. The prevalence of nature, through the sea and the sky, the observation of the behaviors of the animals, is worth like metaphor of the change as much as permanence.
